[origin: EP0490023A1] In a push-button device for actuating a switching contact of a switching device (28) having a button top (10) which can be pressed down from a rest position into a switching position and can be connected via guide brackets (12) to the switching device (28), the guide brackets (12) are supported by limbs (14, 16), crossing in the form of shears, on the button top (10) capable of pivoting about axes (18), attached to the button, and of pivoting on the switching device (28) about axes (18, 24) perpendicular to the direction of actuation, and are supported displaceably on the switching device (28) perpendicular to the direction of actuation and to the direction of the axes. Furthermore, a driver (32) is provided in each case on one of the mutually crossing limbs (14, 16) in such a way, and a cam (34) is provided on the respective other limb (14), in a manner cooperating therewith, in such a way that the guide brackets (12) always move by the same angular amount relative to the button top (10). <IMAGE>
