The invention relates to a device 1 for automatic yarn piecing in a ring spinning machine 6, in which an auxiliary yarn 3 drawn off a supply bobbin 2 is placed on a cop 5 or a tube by means of an ejector 4, the ejector 4 being movable for yarn piecing in the direction of the cop 5 or the tube. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung 1 zum selbsttätigen Fadenansetzen an einer Ringspinnmaschine 6, bei der ein von einer Vorratsspule 2 abgezogener Hilfsfaden 3 mittels eines Ejektors 4 an einem Kops 5 bzw. einer Hülse angelegt wird, wobei der Ejektor 4 zum Fadenanlegen in Richtung des Kopses 5 bzw. der Hülse bewegbar ist. Hierbei ist der Ejektor 4 mit einem, in vorgeschobener Stellung den Kops 5 bzw. die Hülse umgebenden, U-förmigen Fadenleitschirm 7 zur Schlingenbildung des Hilfsfadens 3 um den Kops 5 bzw. die Hülse verbunden. <IMAGE>
