Each yarn end (1, 2) is held at two longitudinally distant points (3, 4; 5, 6) and an axial untwisting is introduced; these untwisted ends are brought together head-to-tail, the middle part being gripped tightly; in the untwisted part of each end between the tightly gripped middle part and the respective holding points (4, 5) of the yarn by which the untwisting was induced, an additional axial untwisting is induced by simultaneously rolling the freed fibre ends about the part with the additional untwisting; and the twist is retransferred by freeing the middle part in the course of this transfer.

On tient chaque extrémité (1,2) de fil en deux points (3,4;5,6) distants longitudinalement et on introduit une détorsion axiale, on réunit ces extrémités détordues tête-bêche en serrant la partie centrale, on induit dans la partie détordue de chaque extrémité entre la partie centrale serrée et les points de tenue respectifs (4,5) du fil par lesquels on a induit la détrosion, une surdétorsion axiale avec enroulement simultané des extrémités de fibres libérées autour de la partie surdétordue et on retransfère la torsion en libérant la partie centrale au cours de ce transfert. <IMAGE>
