The invention relates to a deflection unit for a cathode ray tube which has a tube bulb consisting of a cylindrical tube neck and a part which expands towards the front like a funnel, the shape of the deflection unit corresponding to that of the tube bulb (RK). By means of the new deflection unit, good imaging clarity of an image is achieved on a monitor in that there is arranged within the deflection unit a cylindrical plastic body (KK) which has webs (ST) of soft-magnetic material aligned parallel to the cylinder axis. The invention is used in television technology. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Ablenkeinheit für eine Kathodenstrahlröhre, die einen Röhrenkolben aus einem zylindrischen Röhrenhals und einem sich nach vorne trichterartig erweiterten Teil aufweist, wobei die Form der Ablenkeinheit der des Röhrenkolbens (RK) entspricht. Mit der neuen Ablenkeinheit wird eine gute Abbildungsschärfe eines Bildes auf einem Monitor dadurch erreicht, daß innerhalb der Ablenkeinheit ein zylindrischer Kunststoffkörper (KK) angeordnet ist, der parallel zur Zylinderachse ausgerichtete Stege (ST) aus weichmagnetischem Material aufweist. Die Erfindung wird in der Fernsehtechnik angewandt. <IMAGE>
