Ein Installationsschalter besitzt mit eine Kontaktstelle (11, 13), ein Schaltschloß (20) und zumindest ein Überstromauslöser (48), vorzugsweise in Form eines Thermobimetalles, welcher bei einem Überstrom auf eine Verklinkungsstelle (27) im Schaltschloß einwirkt, wodurch die Kontaktstelle (11, 13) geöffnet wird. Zur Einstellung auf einen bestimmten Auslösestrom ist zwischen dem Schaltschloß (20) und dem Überstromauslöser (48) ein abhängig von dem gewünschten Auslöseüberstrom verstellbarer Übertragungsmechanismus (48) vorgesehen, der die Bewegung des Überstromauslösers (48) bei einem Auslösevorgang auf die Verklinkungsstelle (27) des Schaltschlosses (20) überträgt. Dieser Übertragungsmechanismus besitzt zwecks definierter Auslösung eine eigene Verklinkungsstelle (34, 38). <IMAGE>
