[origin: EP0491970A1] A delivery device for the selective, laterally offset stacking of sheet-type recording media in a delivery tray of a printing device has a centrally arranged end-side alignment unit (16/3) and lateral alignment units (16/1 and 16/2) assigned to the side walls. Each alignment unit contains a paddle wheel (17) with three individual paddles. The alignment units (16/1 to 16/3) are mounted so as to be pivotable on a drive shaft. In the operating case, the paddle wheel (17/3) of the end-side alignment unit and the paddle wheel of one of the lateral alignment units (16/1 or 16/2) rests on the bottom (10) of the deliverer. For delivery, the end-side paddle wheel (17/3) picks up the individual sheet to be delivered by an individual paddle and aligns it on an end wall. By rotating the paddle wheel further, the individual sheet is freed.
