An electrical connector is shown and described for the connection of electrical conductors, especially grid web lines, which are arranged parallel to one another, are connected to insulating material links and have an insulating material housing for a number of contact elements corresponding to the number of pins, which contact elements in each case have at least one connecting limb which can be anchored firmly on a connector support such as a circuit board, at least a part of the insulating material housing being capable of being displaced from a first position, corresponding to the conductor insertion point, to a second position, corresponding to the conductor connection point, which is protected for example by latching. In order to design the clamping of the contact connector to be less sensitive to tension forces on the conductor, a tension-relief device is provided in such a manner that at least one web is arranged externally on the moving part of the insulating material housing, which web extends with respect to the connector support on the side of the housing pointing away from the connector support transversely to the movement direction of the insulating material housing part, passes through a corresponding perforation in the insulating material link of the conductor, at least in the conductor connection point of the insulating material housing, and thus ties the conductor down on the insulating material housing. <IMAGE>

Dargestellt und beschrieben ist ein elektrischer Verbinder zum Anschluß von parallel zueinander angeordneten, mit Isolierstoffbrücken verbundenen elektrischen Leitern, insbesondere Rasterstegleitungen, mit einem Isolierstoffgehäuse für eine der Polzahl entsprechende Anzahl von Kontaktelementen, die jeweils mindestens einen Anschlußschenkel aufweisen, der an einem Verbinderträger wie Schaltungsplatte fest verankerbar ist, wobei wenigstens ein Teil des Isolierstoffgehäuses von einer ersten, der Leitereinführstellung entsprechenden, in eine - etwa durch Verrastung - gesicherte zweite, der Leiteranschlußstellung entsprechenden, Einstellung verschiebbar ist. Um die Klemmung der Kontaktverbindung gegen Zugkräfte am Leiter unempfindlicher zu gestalten, ist eine Zugentlastung dergestalt vorgesehen, daß außen an dem verschieblichen Teil des Isolierstoffgehäuses mindestens ein sich an dessen von dem Verbinderträger wegweisenden Seite quer zur Verschieberichtung des Isolierstoffgehäuseteils bezüglich des Verbinderträgers erstreckender Steg angeordnet ist, der mindestens in der Leiteranschlußstellung des Isolierstoffgehäuses einen korrespondierenden Durchbruch in einer Isolierstoffbrücke des Leiters durchgreift und somit den Leiter an das Isolierstoffgehäuse fesselt. <IMAGE>
