[origin: EP0492098A1] Pure crystals of explosive substances are phlegmatised in aqueous wax soap dispersions for the application of wax particles to the surface of the crystals. To obtain mere uniform deposition of the wax particles on the crystals of explosive, a wax soap microdispersion with particle sizes of < 0.1 mu m is used. If aluminium powder is used in addition, the pH of the water phase is stabilised after the precipitation by buffering, in order to prevent an uncontrollable evolution of hydrogen.
