[origin: EP0492424A2] A reactor for burning explosive substances has the form of a pusher-type furnace with a number of cassettes (6) for the material (14) to be burned, which are taken along through the reactor. In the reactor, there are at least three reaction zones which each have a burner (5), a gas feed branch (9) and a gas discharge branch (8). Using this reactor, a largely sealed combustion of the explosive substances can be carried out with minimum pollution of the environment. <IMAGE>
