[origin: EP0492541A2] For dewatering ashes extinguished in the water bath of an ash-remover (1), the discharge chute (6) of the ash-remover is set in vibration by means of a vibration generator (13), which vibration is transmitted to the ash, as a result of which the latter is dewatered. The separated water flows back into the curved trough (3) of the ash-remover (2).
