Apparatus for removing waste, consisting of a comb formed by a series of parallel arms (6, 7) extending in the direction of the cutting cylinder (2), delimiting between them gaps in which spikes (3) on the peripheral surface of the cutting cylinder (2) can pass and transporting pieces of material (4) constituting cutting waste to be detached from the spikes (3), characterised in that the apparatus for removing waste (1) consists of a shaft (5) on which the pairs of parallel arms (6, 7) are immobilised in positions which can vary as a function of the longitudinal position of the spikes (3) on the cutting cylinder (2), and in that the arms (6, 7) of each pair have inner faces (11f, 11i) which are shaped so as to delimit between them a gap whose width increases from front to rear. <IMAGE>

Dispositif de décorticage constituant un peigne formé par une série de bras parallèles (6, 7) s'étendant en direction du cylindre de coupe (2) délimitant entre eux des intervalles dans lesquels peuvent passer des picots (3) de la surface périphérique du cylindre de coupe (2) et transportant des morceaux de matériau (4) constituant des déchets de coupe à détacher des picots (3), caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de décorticage (1) est constitué par un arbre (5) sur lequel les paires de bras parallèles (6, 7) sont bloqués, dans des positions variables en fonction de la position longitudinale des picots (3) sur le cylindre de coupe (2) et en ce que les bras (6, 7) de chaque paire, présentent des faces internes (11f, 11i) conformées de manière à délimiter entre elles un intervalle dont la largeur va en augmentant d'avant en arrière. <IMAGE>
