Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9104408A1] A fuel-air mixture injection device for multi-cylinder internal combustion engines has an electromagnetically-actuated fuel injection valve (12) with a valve seat (27) and valve member (28) and a distributor (15) with an air feed (16) and a number of distributor apertures (17) communicating with the air feed (16) and corresponding to the number of cylinders of the internal combustion engine. In order to achieve an extremely narrow mixture spread of the fuel metered to the individual distributor apertures (17) while the valve is open while ensuring a simple construction of the fuel injection valve (12), the valve member (28) is borne by a valve needle (32) which is guided so as to be axially movable by means of a guide section (33) in the valve chamber (29) in front of the valve seat (27), so that the fuel is fed to the valve chamber (29) in the region between the valve seat (27) and the guide section (33).
