Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9201397A1] The invention concerns a ski shoe (1) with a shock-absorbing device and a rigid shell (2). A prior art ski shoe of this kind has, fitted between the bottom of the rigid shell and the sole, an elastic element which absorbs vertical shocks. Horizontal shocks can give rise to undesirable shear stresses, leading to premature wear and/or insufficient rigidity to ensure that the shoe will be released from the binding. The invention calls for the elastic element (3) to have at least one shaped section (3b) facing upwards from the plate (3a) and fitting into a recess (3g) in the bottom of the shell. A support element, also facing upwards, on a detachable shoulder engages with the shaped section, the upper edge of this support element extending above the plane in which the elastic element rests horizontally against the bottom of the shell.
