[origin: WO9201405A1] The invention concerns a hair-plucking head for a motor-driven depiliatory machine, the head having a gripping device comprising at least two diametrically opposed spring-biased (8) gripper jaws (7) which can be pressed against the inside of a hollow cylinder (3). The gripper jaws (7) operate in conjunction with a control element (11) disposed equiaxially with the cylinder axis (A). The head also includes a transmission link (5) between the drive motor (2) and the hollow cylinder (3) and/or control element (11), the spring-biased gripper jaws being mounted to pivot on spindles (6) located inside the hollow cylinder and driven via the control element (11) and a lever assembly (10).
