Abstract (en)
The rotary snow plough, which has a chassis (4) and an engine (10), has a housing (24) for the cutting drum (20). Two hold-down members designed as skids (30) are mounted on this at ground level. <??>At their front ends (40), which lie in front of the cutting drum in the direction of travel, the skids are of wedge-shaped design. When the skids penetrate into the snow during the clearing work, a downward force component arises at the skids due to the wedge shape. This counteracts the tendency of the rotary snow plough to climb up onto the snow. The hold-down members accordingly maintain contact with the ground and ensure that the snow is cleared uniformly and close to the ground. <IMAGE>

Die Schneefrässchleuder, die ein Fahrwerk (4) und einen Motor (10) aufweist, besitzt ein Gehäuse (24) für die Frästrommel (20). An diesem sind zwei als Gleitschuhe (30) ausgebildete Niedehalteorgane in Bodenhöhe angebracht. An ihren vorderen Enden (40), die in Fahrtrichtung vor der Frästrommel liegen, sind die Gleitschuhe keilförmig ausgestaltet. Dringen die Gleitschuhe bei der Räumarbeit in den Schnee ein, so entsteht an diesen infolge der Keilform eine nach abwärts gerichtete Kraftkomponente. Diese wirkt der Tendenz der Schneefrässchleuder, auf den Schnee aufzufahren, wirksam entgegen. Die Niederhalteorgane halten demnach Bodenkontakt aufrecht und gestalten das gleichbleibende Räumen des Schnees bis in Bodennähe. <IMAGE>
