[origin: EP0494363A2] For a liquid jet printer for franking machines, which produces lettering, graphic characters and symbols on a printing carrier by ejecting drops from nozzles, it is proposed to arrange the nozzles (10) in a concave manner above the printing carrier (30). In this case, the imaginary focus (50) of the liquid jets is to lie below the printing carrier (30).
