Abstract (en)
According to the invention the sender of the package sends information about the addressee and the contents of the package to the receiving centre, by telephone for computerized (optionally telecommunications-type) means. In return the receiving centre allocates an operation number which it communicates to the sender and which it enters into a computer-based surveillance file. The sender applies this operation number 5, with other indications 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, to an address label A which it attaches to the package. The package is then picked up by the carrier despatched by the receiving centre which compares the information on the label A with that entered by the receiving centre on its microcomputer. The invention allows permanent identification and active surveillance of packages which it is desired to transport. <IMAGE>

Selon l'invention l'émetteur du pli communique au centre récepteur, par téléphone, télématique ou informatique, les informations relatives au destinataire et au contenu du pli. En retour le centre récepteur attribue un numéro d'opération qu'il communique à l'émetteur et qu'il entre dans un fichier informatique de surveillance. L'émetteur applique ce numéro d'opération 5, avec d'autres indications 1, 2, 3, 4 et 6 sur un bordereau d'acheminement A qu'il associe au pli. Ce dernier est alors pris en charge par le transporteur dépêché par le centre récepteur qui compare les informations du bordereau A à celles entrées par le centre récepteur sur son micro-ordinateur. L'invention permet d'assurer une identification permanente et une surveillance active des plis à transporter. <IMAGE>
