Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a safety socket with an automatic cut-off of the current supply to the socket contacts. In comparison with conventional sockets, it has a very high level of safety with respect to unauthorised use, especially by children, and thus makes the use of child protection devices superfluous. All the unsafe features and usage disadvantages of conventional child protection devices are overcome in that voltage is applied to the socket contacts only when the apparatus plug is inserted completely. This is achieved by means of a multiple interruption in the live conductor which is counteracted only by insertion of an apparatus plug. The necessary simultaneous counteraction of the multiple interruption by other means with simultaneous touching of the live contacts cannot normally be done by a single person, and a hazard to playing children is thus prevented. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Sicherheitssteckdose mit selbsbabschaltender Stromzufuhr zu den Steckdosenkontakten. Sie weist gegenüber herkömmlichen Steckdosen ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit gegen unbefugten Gebrauch, insbesondere durch Kinder, auf und macht somit die Verwendung von Kindersicherungen überflüssig. Alle Unsicherheiten und Gebrauchsnachteile herkömmlicher Kindersicherungen werden dadurch ausgeschaltet, daß an den Steckdosenkontakten nur bei vollständig eingeführtem Gerätestecker Spannung anliegt. Dies wird durch eine mehrfache Unterbrechung des Phasenleiters, die üblicherweise nur durch Einführen eines Gerätesteckers aufgehoben wird erreicht. Die notwendige gleichzeitige Aufhebung der mehrfachen Unterbrechung mit anderen Mitteln bei gleichzeitiger Berührung der spannungsführenden Kontakte ist durch eine einzelne Person üblicherweise nicht zu bewältigen, eine Gefährdung spielender Kinder somit ausgeschlossen. <IMAGE>
