[origin: EP0495332A1] The surfacing for tennis courts is suitable in particular for unsheltered outdoor courts, but also for halls and is applied over a foundation course (2) and over a formation course (4), arranged thereupon, of crushed material such as gravel or the like. A water-permeable base course (5), which comprises loosely bonded rubber granule particles (6), is applied on the formation course (4), and a water-permeable textile covering (7) of a synthetic fibre having an inhomogeneous surface structure is applied on the base course (5). The textile covering (7) is adhesively bonded to the base course (5) over its entire extent at selected points but not over its full surface area. <IMAGE>
