The venting device consists of a pipe nozzle (14) which is welded to the container wall (11) of a container (10) and onto which a screw cap (50) is screwed. Combined with this screw cap (50) is an excess pressure valve which is formed by a cylindrical portion (52) of the cap (50) with radial bores (54a, b) which are closed under normal pressure by a tensioned annular element (55) made of rubber-elastic material. To protect the inside region of the pressure compensating device from splashing in the region of the annular element (55), the pipe nozzle (14) is covered by a flat ring (16a) as a safeguard against gushing. <IMAGE>

Die Be- und Entlüftungsvorrichtung besteht aus einem Rohrstutzen (14), der mit der Behälterwand (11) eines Behälters (10) verschweißt ist und auf den eine Schraubkappe (50) aufgeschraubt ist. Mit dieser Schraubkappe (50) ist ein Überdruckventil kombiniert, das von einem Zylinderabschnitt (52) der Kappe (50) mit Radialbohrungen (54a,b) gebildet ist, die von einem aufgespannten Ringelement (55) aus gummielastischem Material bei Normaldruck verschlossen sind. Zum Schutz vor Benetzung des Innenbereichs der Druckausgleichsvorrichtung im Bereich des Ringelements (55) ist der Rohrstutzen (14) mit einem Flachring (16a) als Schwallschutzvorrichtung abgedeckt. <IMAGE>
