[origin: EP0495402A2] An oil preheating device for a burner of the pressure atomising type, in particular for preheating fuel oil of low viscosity (at 20 DEG C < 2 Engler or 11.8 cSt.). It has a block (1) which conducts heat well and into which a cylindrically designed electric heating element (3) with connection lines (6) is inserted. The heating element (3) and the block (1) are in flat contact. A helically-running oil supply line is provided, which is formed by a groove. The heating element (3), which is preferably a PTC resistance heating element, can be inserted into the block (1) from the nozzle side and is covered by a closure cap (7). The block (1) has a lateral passage (5) for the connection cable (6). The oil supply line is situated on the outer jacket of the block (1) which is inserted, preferably pressed, in a fitted manner into a separate nozzle support (9) made of material which conducts heat well. <IMAGE>
