Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0495754A1] The exchange cartridge (1) according to the invention for a razor with an applicator device has, next to a reservoir (2) for an application preparation, means for conveying the application preparation, for example a small pump (3) for manual operation, and a connection piece (10). The exchange cartridge is fixed, for example, by positive locking between the connection piece (10) and a counterpiece (4) on the razor. The interior space of the small pump (31) can be filled, in the new state of the exchange cartridge, with application preparation. Incorporating the small pump in the exchange cartridge (1) and its initial filling with preparation permits a simple construction of the pump, since the latter does not have to be designed for sucking in preparation, since it does not have to be accessible for cleaning purposes, and since it does not have to have a long life. A preferred embodiment of the pump consists of a pump space (31), the walls of which have elastically deformable points and two one-way valves (32 and 33). A preferred variant of the preparation reservoir consists of a hollow body, the interior space of which is divided up into a preparation space (22) and an air space (23) by a movable piston (21). <IMAGE>
