[origin: GB2237005A] A self-winding reel assembly comprises a spool (18) rotatably mounted, within a housing (10), around a fixed shaft (17). A flexible belt (32) wound around the spool is provided on its free end with a catch device (34) for connection to a retainer when the belt is unwound from the spool to form a temporary barrier. The spool (18) is driven by a clock spring (25) which is located in a space (24) within the spool (18) itself. An adjustable cam device (29) rotates with the spool to operate a micro switch (30) controlling an electric alarm device (31). Rotation of the spool (18) may be controlled by an air brake or inertia brake.

Un ensemble de bobines à enrouleur comprend une bobine (18) montée dans un boîtier pour la rotation autour d'un arbre fixe (17). Une ceinture souple (32) enroulée sur la bobine est munie à son extrémité libre d'un dispositif d'arrêt (34) destiné à être connecté à un élément de retenue lorsque l'on déroule la ceinture, afin de former une barrière temporaire. La bobine (18) est entraînée par un ressort-moteur (25) situé dans un espace (24) à l'intérieur de la bobine (18) elle-même. Un dispositif à came réglable (29) tourne avec la bobine afin d'actionner un minirupteur (30) commandant un dispositif d'alarme électrique (31). La rotation de la bobine (18) peut être réglée au moyen d'un aérofrein ou d'un frein inertiel.
