[origin: WO9104756A1] Apparatus for use in sterilising babies and infants feeding and teething equipment, comprises a collapsible liquid tight container which has therein a quantity of material (e.g. sodium dichloroisocyanurate) which when admixed with water will form a sterilising solution. The container may be of a translucent or transparent plastics (e.g. polyethylene) material and have a line, or other indicia on a wall in a position indicating the container has been filled with a predetermined volume of water. The container may comprise a bag formed at its mouth with a hem through which extends one or more drawstrings by which the bag may be closed after filling and by means of which the bag may be supported e.g. on a hook. The material in the bag to form the sterilising solution is preferably in tablet form and is located within a perforated sachet or pocket within the bag. A sachet, if provided may be loose within the bag. The pocket may be on a side wall of the bag (Fig. 1) or be a perforated portion of a plastics material tube attached to the upper edge of the container (Fig. 4). The bag is provided folded and/or rolled within a sealed sterilised envelope. With particular advantage sets of such folded and/or rolled bags, each located in a sealed sterilised envelope, are provided. A method of using the apparatus is described.

Un appareil destiné à être utilisé pour stériliser le matériel servant à nourrir les bébés et les enfants en bas âge, comprend un récipient étanche et pliable contenant une certaine quantité d'un matériau (tel que le dichloroisocyanurate de sodium) qui forme une solution stérilisante lorsqu'il est mélangé avec de l'eau. Le récipient peut être constitué d'une matière plastique (telle que le polyéthylène) transparente ou translucide, et présenter une ligne ou une autre indication sur une de ses parois dans une position indiquant que le récipient contient un volume d'eau prédéterminé. Le goulot du récipient peut comprendre un sac qui possède un ourlet dans lequel se trouvent un ou plusieurs cordons grâce auxquels l'on peut fermer le sac rempli et l'accrocher, par exemple à une patère. Le matériau stérilisant qui se trouve dans le sac se présente de préférence sous la forme d'un comprimé situé à l'intérieur d'un sachet ou une poche perforé(e). Si un sachet est utilisé, il peut être libre dans le sac. La poche peut se trouver sur la partie latérale du sac (Fig. 1) ou peut constituer une portion perforée d'un tube en matière plastique fixé au bord supérieur du récipient (Fig. 4). Le sac est fourni plié et/ou enroulé dans une enveloppe hermétique stérilisée. Ces sacs pliés et/ou enroulés peuvent avantageusement être rassemblés dans une seule enveloppe hermétique stérilisée. On décrit un procédé d'utilisation de l'appareil.
