[origin: WO9203619A1] A water closet basin (1) has a hollow seat (2) which forms a flushing component replacing the usual flushing rim integral with the basin (1). On flushing of the water closet (1), water enters the rear of basin (1) through entrance aperture (4) from the cistern into chamber (C) and out through delivery aperture (5) into the hollow seat ring (2). A single inlet aperture (E) is provided to the seat ring (2) and water entering the ring (2) through aperture (E) travels in a loop before exiting the ring (2) via various outlet apertures provided on the underneath surface of the ring (2) in order to flush the basin (1).

Une cuvette de W.-C. (1) comporte un siège creux (2) qui constitue un élément de chasse d'eau remplaçant l'habituel rebord de chasse d'eau solidaire à la cuvette. Lorsque l'on actionne la chasse d'eau, l'eau pénètre à l'arrière de la cuvette (1) à travers l'ouverture d'entrée (4), de la citerne à la chambre (C) et sort par l'ouverture de sortie (5) dans la partie circulaire du siège creux (2). Une seule ouverture d'entrée (E) est prévue dans la partie circulaire du siège (2) et de l'eau entrant dans cette partie à travers l'ouverture (E) se déplace en une boucle avant de quitter la partie circulaire par différentes ouvertures de sortie prévues dans la surface inférieure de la partie circulaire afin de nettoyer la cuvette (1).
