Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH04300337A] PURPOSE: To provide at a low production cost the subject frame stave which is used for a heald frame, whose rigidity and weight can easily be adjusted by simple means and which has a large sound-attenuating effect. CONSTITUTION: This frame stave includes a supporting bar 1 designed as hollow body and adjoined by a supporting member 2 for a heald carrying rod 3. The supporting bar 1 reaches its bending strength by a massive longitudinal bar of a substantially square cross-section which forms one of the narrow sides. The other narrow side is formed by the leg 5 of an angled supporting member 2 for the heald carrying rod. Two extremely thin walled sheet metal members 6, 7 are mounted preferably by a laser welding to the longitudinal supporting bar 1 and the leg 25 and form the two broad sides. A filler body 10 is located in the hollow inner space of the supporting bar 1 which is for instance in a honey-comb like structure in which a plurality of individual hollow spaces or chambers 11 are formed, which are filled by a sound attenuating material which remains elastic.
