[origin: EP0496265A1] A silo for bulk materials has devices arranged at its upper side for operating the silo (e.g. filling nozzle (10), filling-level measuring device (19), exhaust air filter (18), explosion protection (28, 29), etc.). The devices in the silo housing are mounted on an intermediate floor which terminates the bulk material space and, together with the silo housing projecting above it and having a door, forms a chamber which can be entered with access through said door. Apart from the door, said chamber has openings (e.g. exhaust air slits (21)) for the relevant devices (e.g. filling nozzle (10), exhaust air filter (18), explosion protection (28, 29)). <IMAGE>
