[origin: EP0496312A1] The invention relates to a safety device for an unloading flap (2), which can be actuated hydraulically, of a railway goods wagon (1) for bulk freight. A pivot magnet (10) which actuates a control valve (6, 7) is secured in the closed position of the unloading flap (2) by means of a locking pin (18) attached to a lever (16) and can be pivoted in the unloading position about a pivot axis (12). The locking pin (18) interacts here with a signalling device (17) which has a securing latch (15) which, depending on its position, engages behind the locking pin (18) or releases it. In accordance with the invention, the securing latch (15) and signalling device (17) are connected to one another in such a way that the position of the signalling device (17) which is equipped with two optically distinguishable signalling faces (19, 20) can be detected externally by means of a viewing orifice (21). <IMAGE>
