A rotational jaw crusher (1) has a rotor (5) which rotates within a housing (2) about a horizontal axis of rotation (6) and which receives at least one orbiting jaw (7). The jaw crusher (1) is equipped with a jaw (10) which is fixed with respect to the housing, is arranged substantially above the falling region of the rotor's circle of rotation and extends in an inclination rising flatly in relation to the horizontal, rising inclination, against the rotor's direction of rotation, towards the charging opening (3) of the housing (2). To achieve a high working efficiency and low liability to wear, breaker bars (18) which form cutting edges are provided on the fixed jaw (10), running approximately normal to the rotor's axis of rotation (6). <IMAGE>

Ein Rotationsbackenbrecher (1) weist einen innerhalb eines Gehäuses (2) um eine horizontale Drehachse (6) umlaufenden, wenigstens eine Umlaufbacke (7) aufnehmenden Rotor (5) auf und ist mit einer gehäusefesten, im wesentlichen oberhalb des absteigenden Bereiches des Rotorumlaufkreises angeordneten Festbacke (10) ausgestattet, die sich in einer gegenüber der horizontalen, flach ansteigenden Neigung entgegen der Rotordrehrichtung zur Einwurföffnung (3) des Gehäuses (2) hin erstreckt. Um bei geringer Verschleißanfälligkeit einen hohen Wirkungsgrad zu erzielen, sind an der Festbacke (10) etwa normal zur Rotordrehachse (6) verlaufende schneidenbildende Brechleisten (18) vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
