1. Self-supporting hood for vehicles. 2.1 Self-supporting hoods for vehicles, in particular for railway goods wagons which cover the loading space in conjunction with end walls and, if appropriate, a permanently arranged central gantry and in the closed position are located in a plane, have the disadvantage that the rigidity of the walls, principally when subjected to alternating pressure loads such as occur in railways at high speeds in a tunnel, in particular when trains pass, is not sufficient. 2.2 Self-supporting hoods for vehicles, in particular railway goods wagons, are to be designed in such a way that they withstand high alternating pressure loads and windforces and, if appropriate, serve as a means of securing freight and in their closed position serve as a component which is integrated into the wagon body and has a supporting function. Selbsttragende Haube für Fahrzeuge. 2.1 Selbsttragende Hauben für Fahrzeuge, insbesondere für Eisenbahngüterwagen, die in Verbindung mit Stirnwänden und ggf. fest angeordnetem Mittelportal den Laderaum abdecken und in Schließstellung in einer Ebene liegen, weisen den Nachteil auf, daß die Steifigkeit der Wände, vor allem bei Druckwechselbeanspruchungen, wie sie im Eisenbahnverkehr bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten im Tunnel, insbesondere bei Zugbegegnungen, auftreten, zu gering ist. 2.2 Es sollen selbsttragende Hauben für Fahrzeuge, insbesondere Eisenbahngüterwagen, so gestaltet werden, daß sie hohen Druckwechselbelastungen sowie Windkräften standhalten und ggf. als Ladegutsicherung und als in ihrer Schließstellung in den Wagenkasten integriertes, mittragendes Bauteil dienen. Die selbsttragenden Hauben sind dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jede Haubenhälfte (4a, b) aus einem Haubenrahmen (11, 12, 13) aus Metallprofilen und dann eingelegten Sickenelementen (14) besteht. 2.3 Die erfindungsgemäßen Hauben werden bevorzugt für Eisenbahngüterwagen verwendet. 3.1 Zur Erläuterung dient Fig. 2.
