[origin: JPH04316685A] PURPOSE: To dye all kinds of leathers with brilliance and high density by applying a pigment dispersion liquid and an aq. soln. of sulfur dye together on a leather by an exhaust method in one step. CONSTITUTION: An aq. soln. is prepared by mixing a water-soluble sulfur dye with a dispersion liquid of an aq. pigment (e.g. inorg. or org. pigments), to which further a dispersant, a solvent (e.g. polar org. solvent) and water are added. The obtd. aq. soln. is used to dye all kinds of leathers (e.g. mineral tanned, vegetable tanned, or pig shagreen, suede leather and nubuck leather) with brilliance and high density by an exhaust method in one step or continuous steps.
