Abstract (en)
The invention discloses a method of preparing endless abrasive belts by butt joining an elongate strip without the use of reinforcing patches or the like. The invention utilises a flexible support in conjunction with a layer of hot-melt adhesive which is caused to form a continuous layer within the region of the butt joint which possesses sufficient strength to ensure the integrity of the belt during its use.
