Abstract (en)
The transfer device for a tobacco rod is an improvement made to a cigarette machine; the entrainment of the tobacco rod (31) is more uniform when the web of paper (42) which is to surround the tobacco rod circulates in parallel with the porous belt (21) over a certain distance; moreover, by applying a certain compression to the tobacco rod before the latter penetrates into a guiding groove arranged under the guiding shoe (45), the rod may be made into circular shape by reducing the friction of the tobacco against the walls of the groove, which reduces the heating-up of the tobacco and the wear of the groove. <IMAGE>

Le dispositif de transfert d'un boudin de tabac est une amélioration apportée à une machine à cigarettes; l'entraînement du boudin de tabac (31) est plus régulier lorsque la bande de papier (42) devant venir entourer le boudin de tabac circule en parallèle avec la courroie poreuse (21) sur une certaine distance; de plus, en appliquant une certaine compression au boudin de tabac avant que celui-ci ne pénètre dans une rainure de guidage disposée sous le sabot de guidage (45), la mise en forme circulaire du boudin peut se faire en diminuant le frottement du tabac contre les parois de la rainure, ce qui diminue l'échauffement du tabac et l'usure de la rainure. <IMAGE>
