[origin: EP0497739A2] The dispensing cartridge (1) has a supply cylinder (2) and an expulsion piston (50), in whose wall (53) a sealing ring (51) is embedded. Differing from the prior art, the sealing ring (51) is embedded with spacing from the end (52) of the expulsion piston (50) facing the cartridge contents (4), and this end (52) additionally has a sealing lip (54), a V-shaped, circumferential groove (55) being arranged between said sealing lip and the piston wall (53). The bottom surface (58) of the expulsion piston (50) facing the cartridge contents (4) has radially extending venting grooves (15), which open out at a venting bore (9), while the other ends of the venting grooves (15) open out in the V-shaped circumferential groove (55) on the sealing lip (54). In a cartridge having an expulsion piston sealed off in this manner, the contents are effectively prevented from flowing out, even if they are aggressive, low-viscosity substances or substances with an extreme creep capability, as a result of which their storage capability is also greatly increased. <IMAGE>
