Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0497755A1] In the process, either the binder (7) is applied progressively in liquid form to the ground surface (3) and the aggregate is likewise progressively scattered (9) onto the ground surface (3), or the mineral aggregate is mixed (17) by machine with the binder to form a slurry directly before applying to the ground surface (3) and this slurry is progressively applied by machine to the ground surface (3) to form the covering. The aggregate (21) is prelaid on the ground surface (3) to be provided with the covering or next to the said surface and, during application of the covering, is picked up from the ground and fed to the scattering (9) onto the ground surface to be provided with the covering or is fed to the mixing (17) with the binder for subsequent application to the ground surface. It is favourable in this case if the aggregate is prelaid in the form of an essentially continuous piled heap. The apparatus (1) is provided with drawing-in or feeding means (24), by which the aggregate (21) is continuously picked up from the ground and passed on for scattering or mixing with the binder. <IMAGE>
