[origin: WO9103930A1] The present invention provides a feeding system for pigs. The system comprises a stall embodying a feed hopper (14) and an animal cubicle (10). The cubicle (10) can house only one animal at a time and whilst the animal is in the cubicle it can feed from the hopper (14). A control system monitors the arrival of the animal by sending out seeking signals and each animal has a transponder responsive to such seeking signals so that upon receipt of such seeking signals the animal sends out from its transponder arrival signals which are picked up by a detector and a processor measures the amount of feed in the hopper (14) before and after the feeding of the animal. Each animal transponder is unique so that the amount of feedstuff consumed by each animal can be recorded and monitored over a rearing period. The cubicle (10) for the animal at the lower inner sides has inwardly inclined plates (50, 58) to define a narrow base (54) on which the animal stands preventing more than one animal from entering the cubicle (10) at any one time.

On prévoit un système d'alimentation pour les cochons. Le système comprend une stalle incorporant une trémie d'alimentation (14) et un box (10) pour un animal. Le box (10) ne peut recevoir qu'un seul animal à la fois et pendant que l'animal se trouve dans le box, il peut se nourrir dans la trémie (14). Un système de commande contrôle l'arrivée de l'animal en émettant des signaux de recherche. Chaque animal porte un répondeur qui répond à ces signaux de recherche de sorte que lors de la réception des signaux, le répondeur de l'animal émette des signaux d'arrivée qui sont captés par un détecteur. Un processeur mesure la quantité de nourriture qui se trouve dans la trémie (14) avant et après le passage de l'animal. Chaque répondeur d'animal est unique afin que la quantité de norriture consommée par chaque animal puisse être enregistrée et suivie au cours d'une période d'élevage. Le box (10) de l'animal comprend, du côté intérieur de ses parois latérales, des plaques inclinées vers l'intérieur (50, 58) qui définissent une base étroite (54) sur laquelle se tient l'animal tout en empêchant qu'un autre animal n'entre dans le box (10) en même temps.
