[origin: WO9106506A1] The invention presented comprises a system for the efficient reduction of nitrogen oxides in the effluent from the combustion of a carbonaceous fuel, the system comprising means for effecting a treatment regimen (10); means for generating a signal (60) representative of the condition of the effluent; and controller (70) responsive to such signal for adjusting the treatment regimen in response to such signal in order to achieve substantial nitrogen oxides reductions while minimizing the production of other pollutants.

On décrit un système de réduction efficace des oxydes azotés dans l'effluent provenant de la combustion d'un combustible carboné. Le système comporte un moyen de mise en oeuvre d'un régime de traitement (10); un moyen servant à générer un signal (60) représentatif de l'état de l'effluent; et un dispositif de commande (70) pouvant réagir à un tel signal et régler le régime de traitement en conséquence afin d'obtenir des réductions sensibles du taux d'oxydes azotés tout en minimisant la production d'autres éléments polluants.
