[origin: WO9106382A1] Described is a folding machine in which a metal sheet is clamped between an upper and a lower clamp, and the section of sheet extending out beyond clamps is bent through a given angle by a bending cheek. During the rotating motion of the bending cheek, it moves into an initial position perpendicular to the axis of rotation. This steers the bending cheek along a given bending contour.

Machine à plier les tôles, où la tôle est serrée entre une traverse inférieure et une traverse supérieure, et où un bout de tôle dépassant ces traverses est plié à l'aide d'une barre de pliage autour d'un angle de pivotement prédéterminé. La barre de pliage est réglée pendant son pivotement dans un premier sens de réglage perpendiculairement à l'axe de pivotement. De cette façon, la barre de pliage est commandée le long d'un contour de pliage prédéterminé.
