[origin: EP0498041A2] For a recording apparatus, in which recording or print carriers are transported between an entry/extraction position and a recording position in one or more guide shafts, there is an access subassembly (2), by means of which an adjustment of the guide shafts between the position of the entry/extraction orifices (13, 14) of the recording apparatus and the position of guide-shaft portions (11, 12) formed by assembly plates (3, 4 and 5, 6) of a recording subassembly (1) is brought about. The access subassembly (2) can be connected in a pluggable manner to the recording subassembly and, where two guide shafts are concerned, consists of three components (22, 23, 24) which can be connected by joining and catching means (for example, 47, 49, 53; 59, 60, 63; 55, 65) and which enclose the guide-shaft portions (15, 16) between the recording subassembly (1) and the entry/extraction orifices (13, 14). <IMAGE>
