Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0498181A1] A device is described for adjusting the volume of an object-supporting means mounted on a line, which means has a box shape with flat face walls. <??>In order to permit the adjustment of the volume at any desired point on a conveyor by simple means, it is provided that two guide plates (9, 11; 9', 11') are attached parallel to each other and at a distance (a) from each other which is greater than the width of the side walls of the object-supporting means, which side walls loosely support a base plate, to a slide rod (17, 17'), which extends transversely to the conveying direction and, spanning the line, is movable in the direction of extension (8) in a straight line reciprocating manner, positioning means extending in the direction of extension (8) of the slide rod (17, 17'), and that a retaining fork (25, 25') to receive and shift the base plate is mounted on a positioning rod (27, 27') which extends perpendicularly to the slide rod (17, 17') and to the conveying direction of the line and which is movable in a translatory manner, guide means (26) for the retaining fork (25, 25') being adjustable with respect to the positioning means in the side walls of the object-supporting means and the guide plates in the region of the retaining fork (25, 25') being movable in a reciprocating manner. <IMAGE>
