[origin: EP0498371A2] The electrical resistor, having a board-shaped support consisting of electrically insulating material and at least one layer of resistance material on one of the side surfaces of the support, has connecting contacts (9, 11), which consist of a flat layer and are fitted on the same side surface as the associated resistor (8), for easier producibility and simpler handling, in particular for a low construction height with good stability under load. The connecting contacts (9, 11) extend from the associated resistor (8) to the edge between the side surface (4, 5) and the bottom (3) of the support (1). <IMAGE>
