On its upper face (29), which faces a fuel metering device (1), the new throttle valve (9) has a wedge (31) on a first throttle valve wing (25). The wedge tapers from the vicinity of the circumference of the throttle valve (9) in the direction of the throttle valve shaft (19) and, on its front face (41), has at least one drain channel (43), which extends in the direction of the throttle valve shaft (19) and is connected to at least one drain groove (39) formed in the upper face (29) of the throttle valve (9) and extending into the second throttle valve wing (27). The wedge (31) with this configuration leads to a better metering behaviour of the throttling device in the lower load range of an internal combustion engine and allows the fuel deposited on the wedge (31) and the upper face (29) of the throttle valve (9) to run off. <IMAGE>

Die neue Drosselklappe (9) weist an ihrer oberen, einer Brennstoffdosiereinrichtung (1) zugewandten Stirnseite (29) an einem ersten Drosselklappenflügel (25) einen Keil (31) auf, der sich ausgehend von nahe des Umfangs der Drosselklappe (9) in Richtung der Drosselklappenwelle (19) hin abflacht und der an seiner Stirnseite (41) zumindest eine Ablaufrinne (43) aufweist, die sich in Richtung der Drosselklappenwelle (19) erstreckt und die mit zumindest einer in der oberen Stirnseite (29) der Drosselklappe (9) ausgebildeten und sich bis in den zweiten Drosselklappenflügel (27) erstreckenden Ablaufnut (39) verbunden ist. Der so ausgestaltete Keil (31) führt zu einem besseren Dosierverhalten der Drosselvorrichtung im unteren Lastbereich einer Brennkraftmaschine und ermöglicht das Ablaufen des auf dem Keil (31) und der oberen Stirnseite (29) der Drosselklappe (9) niedergeschlagenen Brennstoffs. <IMAGE>
