[origin: EP0499137A1] Acceptance and rejection device for coins (60) in a coin tester, having a pivotably mounted coin switch (10) which, in a position of rest determined by gravity, blocks an acceptance or rejection channel and which, as a result of the energy of an impacting coin (60), is pivotable into an operating position, in which it releases the acceptance (21a) or rejection (21b) channel, and having a pivotably mounted blocking lever (30) which, when actuated by an electromagnetic device (41), selectively releases or locks the coin switch (10) in the position of rest, the blocking lever (30) being actuated by a single electromagnet (41) and being prestressed into the non-actuated position by a spring (43), and the blocking lever interacting with a portion (22) of the switch, preferably an orifice (23,23a,23b), and the switch portion or orifice (23,23a,23b) and blocking lever being so designed that a pivoting of the switch (10) out of the position of rest is selectively blocked or released in dependence on the position of the blocking lever (30). <IMAGE>
