Fibre mouldings of short ceramic fibres are partially cast into a light metal piston, consisting of a high-pressure die-cast, heat-resistant magnesium alloy. In einen preßgegossenen, aus warmfester Magnesiumlegierung bestehenden Leichtmetallkolben für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen sind partiell Faserformkörper aus keramischen Kurzfasern eingegossen. Zur Verbesserung der Warmfestigkeit enthält die in den Faserformkörper infiltrierte Magnesiumlegierungsmatrix intermetallische Verbindungen eines oder mehrerer Seltenerd-Metalle. <IMAGE>
