[origin: EP0499517A1] The invention relates to a simple police or direction signalling traffic sign of the box-shaped type comprising at least one front facing. The traffic sign according to the invention is characterised in that it comprises a belt profile (1) for the box equipped with two wings (2), at least one of which is extended by an external peripheral lip (3) delimiting with the corresponding wing (2) a lateral collar (4) intended to receive the periphery of the front facing (5a) of the sign.
