In a fumes evacuation device with a collecting housing which may have filter devices, and with a fan arranged outside the housing and flow-connected on the suction side to the outlet opening of the housing via a pipe system which conveys the air stream produced by the fan, the fan being surrounded with soundproofing means for reduction of the sound coming from it, the soundproofing means are arranged in the main direction of propagation of the sound, in a closed subsidiary channel branching from the pipe system on the suction side of the fan, outside the air stream produced by this. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Dunstabzugsvorrichtung mit ggf. Filtereinrichtungen aufweisendem Auffanggehäuse und einem außerhalb von diesem angeordneten Gebläse, das saugseitig über ein Rohrsystem, das zur Führung des vom Gebläse erzeugten Luftstromes dient, mit der Auslaßöffnung des Gehäuses strömungstechnisch verbunden ist, wobei das Gebläse mit schalldämmenden Mitteln zur Reduzierung des von ihm ausgehenden Schalles umgeben ist, sind die schalldämmenden Mittel auf der Saugseite des Gebläses außerhalb des von diesem erzeugten Luftstromes in einem vom Rohrsystem abzweigenden abgeschlossenen Nebenkanal in der Hauptausbreitungssrichtung des Schalles angeordnet. <IMAGE>
