[origin: EP0499970A2] The caliper-type brake linkage has in a caliper connecting rod 3 an integrated stroke adjuster with a helical gear (37, 39). The control mechanism of the stroke adjuster comprises an actuation lever (13) on an adjustment input shaft (51) which is coupled via a one-way rotary coupling to an adjustment output shaft (45) which itself can be supported against a rotationally fixed component via a further one-way rotary coupling. The adjustment input shaft (51) is of sheath-like construction and is mounted on the adjustment output shaft (45); the axle which is common to the two shafts is arranged so as to intersect the axle of the helical gear (37, 39) at a right angle. The adjustment output shaft (45) is coupled to the rotatable part (39) of the helical gear (37, 39) via a bevel gear (43, 44). In the adjustment output shaft (45) a camshaft (62) is rotatably mounted, the cams of which camshaft are capable of disengaging the one-way rotary couplings and by means of which the adjustment output shaft (45) can be turned back. <IMAGE>
