[origin: US5242013A] The motor of a motorised fan unit for a motor vehicle radiator lies outside the perimeter of the radiator considered in the direction of the axis of rotation of the cooling fan, while its dimension in the same direction is at least partly superimposed on the thickness of the tube bundle in the radiator. The drive motor drives the cooling fan, which is arranged facing the tube bundle, through a drive belt. The size of the assembly in the axial direction is reduced, and the motor does not interfere with the flow of air through the radiator.
