[origin: WO9106364A1] A device for stirring solid particles, in particular a cool mixer, has an essentially horizontal container (11) in which a shaft (14) is rotatably guided. The shaft (14) is fitted with mixing tools. Bulk materials can flow into the container (11) through a charging opening (23) and the treated bulk materials are withdrawn from the container (11) through a discharge opening (26). The inner space of the container (11) occupied by the product is subdivided by separating disks into processing regions. The solid mixer (10) is particularly suited for quasi-continuous operation. The product is treated in the randomly oriented parts and transported to the discharge opening (26) in the mechanically produced fluidized bed or in the product ring.
