Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9107306A1] A track assembly for a track laying vehicle comprising a vehicle body (3) and two track assemblies each track assembly comprising first and second wheels (5, 32) one being a drive wheel (5), and a continuous elastomeric track (9) with power transmission elements (11) projecting therefrom. The drive wheel comprises a hub (67) and rim supports (8) operatively connected thereto, circumferential side rim sections (65) operatively connected to the rim supports (8) with a gap therebetween, drive members (7) extending between the rim sections (65) so as to separate the gap into spaced upper zones each being adapted to receive therein one of the power transmission elements (11) the upper zones communicating with open side zones between the rim supports. The track (9) has a unique arrangement of reinforcing filaments (55) and mounting members (57) for additional filaments (58).
